Four years.
Seems like forever, actually.
In 2020 during the pandemic, I really thought I would resume my blog. I was newly retired, hubby was home for months during lockdown and I was reminiscing about my long-igorned page.
Then I ignored it again.
It's Leap Day 2024 now and so much has changed. Especially the last two years.
Two years.
Seems like forever, actually.
Because my dear hubby passed away from pancreatic cancer in July of 2022. Since then, I've been trying to keep my mind busy. Drawing, painting, sculpting, knitting, reading... I even got back into cross stitch. I've done some home repairs that I could handle; hired help to take care of necessary work I couldn't do myself.
Anything to keep my mind from re-living those horrible three weeks between his diagnosis and his final day. But those respites only last a short time. I struggle every day to be positive.
Maybe writing will help.
Because those short three weeks seem like forever ago and yesterday all at once.
