But I had weird reactions to them, and then with all the computer work drying my eyes out and then having kids ... I just started focusing on getting funkier frames. Now I have disposable lenses that I wear usually only to go out or sometimes work out.<BR/><BR/>I hear they use that strategy for laser eye surgery nowadays too, for those that need bifocals. One short sighted, one far sighted eye. I tried the contacts thing in my early 20s, and lasted about a year and a half before my eyelids absolutely refused to let me touch my eyeballs ever again! So... two years ago I bit the bullet and had LASIK surgery done. My only regret is that I waited so long to do it! My eyesight (I had both myopia and astigmatism) isn't perfect now, but it's a whole lot better than it was! I can easily go without glasses now and I'm also elated to be able to wear REAL sunglasses! I'll probably have to wear reading glasses in the next few years, but it will be worth it! If you're interested, check out TLC. That's who did mine, and I highly recommend them. Until then, good luck with the contacts! (Have you tried Toric lenses?) I really wanted to try lenses, so my first set of contacts were for the astigmatism only, and I had to don reading glasses to see close up. Problem was, I could see far and close, but not mid-range (I couldn't read my watch). So now I am trialing this combo approach.
