It must have been developed by the Japanese. They have been wearing masks for years - not just hospital personnel, but everyday citizens. Just for courtesy. But I can't imagine Americans will ever do it. Yeah, the guy with a cold sitting next to you in the theater is going to wear a mask to protect YOU from him. Right.
