This show was the theme of our 8th grade dance in 1983. I had 2 shirts. One said Hot Lips on it. My brother has the DVDs of all the seasons now. I used to like it but I don't really anymore. I didn't get rid of my episode guide though.

I did a whole engineering-design project taking inspiration from the show - adding camofolauge, a red cross, the word "sherman" and ofcourse the show's title and unit number.

The original season was very hard hitting and pushed the envelop, it went down hill from there with Hawkeye insistant preaching, and Hot-Lips became to sophisticated, although Charles was always a hoot to watch. I was a huge M*A*S*H fan from day one (see, I even put in the official '*' thingies in my comment). It was a great show and one of the best movie spin-offs in history.

I do have to admit though, I never really liked B.J. Honeycut that much. Maybe because he felt like a replacement for Trapper - who was awesome. *sniff*

Jay: Some people think it was a show about making a comedy about war. Which is the furthest from the truth you could get. It was about the characters forced together by the war. A lot of stars were in it too... a few weeks back I saw the one with Patrick Swayze...

So we have something in common. I was, and remain, an insane MASHaholic. I saw every episode and, to the complaining of the rest of the household, I watched them more than once. The only thing I hated about the program was those idiotic and annoying laugh tracks. If ever a show did not need a laugh track, it was MASH.

It was a bit too adult for me when it was on in the 70's (meaning I was like 7 when it came on the air) but I always enjoyed the reruns. I still remember huddling around a friend's b&w TV w/ a bunch of other's in her dorm room, watching the very last episode in early 1983.
