I recall watching Road Runner all the time as a child and I loved the surreal desert landscape and the over the top Rube Goldberg inventions that Coyote came up with. They were funny and whimsical. But looking back, in the adult sense, this poor guy was a metaphor for adult life. Always struggling to achieve happiness but being shot down by circumstance or Murphy's Law.
