New Furniture
Yikes! It's been a long week. With Canadian Thanksgiving (and of course I was stupid kind enough to offer to host the family dinner again this year), my parents 60th Anniversary coming up, a certain "talk" to prepare for and a dying laptop I have been sorely negligent in the blogosphere.
But I DID get some new furniture this past weekend!
Oh yeah.
The old stuff was well worn; I've recovered it twice and it was full of cat hair and toys.
The new piece is modular, functional, a matching color for our decor and fits into the livingroom perfectly.
Yup. I'm one lucky gal.
About as lucky as the dog.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. It was really festive on Facebook yesterday, w/ all my Canadian friends posting Thanksgiving wishes.
Glad to hear you got new furniture. Let's see how long the newness will last. lol
too funny!
Now get working on that talk missy!
Yea - Hope your Thanksgivin was great !
Mine was pretty quiet ! :o)
Hey puppy... no one said you can't play on that thing too, so quit feeling sorry for yourself!
Ur kats r so lukky!
It's nice to get new furniture. Hope you had a great thanksgiving. We don't celebrate it ;O)
Maureen:
Isn't it great to get new furniture? It feels good. It looks good. It smells good. It's like getting a new car. Something about brand new things just make you feel better all day.
Happy trails.
Poor dog... looks so put upon. Love the new modular furniture!
Oh I so want one for my girls! They would love it! But those things are pricy. And I can see you shelled out the big bucks because more levels equals more $. But kitties are always worth it, right?
I would think with a little ingenuity and hard work that pup could be king of the castle in no time. He just needs a stool.
JoJo: Thank you! And I apologize for not getting over to pick up my award yet... you are too kind, thank you! Hopefully my laptop will be back in action tonight and I can get back to some blog surfing! (I am trying to get at least some answers in here at work)
PG; Yes, SIR! ;)
Jaffer: It was busy, that's for sure. It's not just the cooking, but the cleaning for days... and then my laptop decided to start acting funky, so I am doing a full restore to hopefully fix it.
Jeff: Ha! I'll bet the three cats would beat her up if she even tried to climb that thing... she is such a fraidy-dog! (But her look is priceless)
Janet: Luckier than moi, that's for sure!
Babs: I was saying to my family that it must suck not to have two occasions per year to have a big turkey dinner... just think, only about two months before I have to make another! And I wouldn't know about the new furniture; the cats are the only ones who got the new stuff ;)
Swubird: I'll have to ask the cats if they like that "new-furniture-smell", for it was them that got the new furniture, not me. :(
Tara: I know, that look on her face is hilarious... I should have really gotten her something that day too. Ah, well, at least she has her comfy bed (when the cats haven't kicked her out, that is).
Vegas Princess: You know, that one was very reasonable; only about $ 20 more than the simple tube one I was going to get... the guy at the pet store delivered it for free and everything! There is also another ladder we haven't attached yet too.
Ed: Ha! She does need a stool! Her face is very expressive. Poor girl is really outnumbered. Which is why when I am home, she spends the majority of time in between my legs hiding from one or another cat.
That looks like a lot of fun for your cats! Ours like their cat tree very much!
I have something like that and my cats are sick and tired of it. They hardly ever use it, except to get on the book case with. Luckily, mine was free, given to me by people whose cat also never used it. I guess Dutch cats are very boring.
Oh you fooled me there! I did think, for one moment, that you meant the cats and then dismissed it :O)
We have one even bigger than this, it is the only place the cats can hide from the dog.
Good lord woman, you are funny :-D
Happy to have stumbled on your blog and will visit often...
cheers from a fellow canadian and dog lover!
