A Glutton For Punishment

As you can probably tell (gad, I HOPE so), things have been eerily quiet around here this past week. But that doesn't mean I haven't been blogging per se. Well, not posting I do admit, but I have been working on a fairly large and complex bloggity-project for days now.

Since I'm a glutton for punishment, I've been working every night on a new design for my blog. Hey, it's a New Year; time for a change, no? I have been revamping a template originally designed for Wordpress, so I've been re-coding and creating images so it'll work in Blogger. So far, so good, but it's not quite ready for you to see yet.

Think of it as RBB 2.0; soon to be released to the public. Once I am nearly done tweaking (I would never dare be so bold to say I was ever really finished), adding widgets and fixing errors I'll do a reveal. Hopefully in a few days.

So keep those fingers crossed that I don't blow the whole damn thing up...

And once I am sure it doesn't, I'll get back to my regular, non-regular posting schedule.

You have a pretty funny blog - loved finding it as an escape (Via black box) when I needed a true escape from real life. Thanks for the smiles ;)

Can't we have the beta version, to be going along with? *Taps fingers*

I really like your design, Maureen. Hope you didn't do too much.

Seems that everyone is doing this.....or in the process. I will be doing the same, but while mine won't 'look' any different, the entire structure behind it and my 'web-presence' is getting a structural make over.....hopefully by the end of January. Good luck on the template....it will showcase your HTML skills (or lack there-of....don't dissappoint us!)

Oh boy. I went through this aspect too, and once I got my blog looking decent, I said, "No more!"

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Something to look forward to, on a dreary winter's day.

Wow, you know how to do all that code stuff?

Did you get your hair hightlighted too? Your photo looks new.

I've decided to never revamp my blog ever, ever again. LOL That's it ... it's done!

Have been procrastinating several bloggity projects I'd resolved to tackle after the holidays.

Oh, the guilt. And the time involved in getting it all done. And the guilt.

You are definitely a braver person than I am. For all it's worth, my fingers are crossed.

Happy trails.

ARRRGGGGHHH! So close, and then, crap.... still working on it. I am too stubborn (I prefer that term to "stupid") to quit now.

tsduff: Aw, thank you! I am so glad you found me. Please take a look at my older posts until I can get back to REAL blogging. Which I am bound and determined to do in the next two days.

LadyBanana: Patience is the key. And backups. But between some Blogger issues, a template not really made for Blogger, and real life getting in the way, my patience is surely being tested!

Jagy: Sorry, you'll just have to wait. My OCD prevents me from just saying "good enough".

Unfinished Rambler: Aw, thanks. Well, the header will remain the same, but I have jazzed it up a bit (I find too much white here just boring...) It's all the bells and whistles I want to add that are driving me bonkers.

Bruce: Oh great. "Don't dissapoint us"... gee, thanks for the pressure ;) Actually, I put more pressure on myself. I have to be happy with it. It took me days just to get the graphics right. Now I am tackling the coding which is surely a long learning process.

PurpleGreenPops: I foolishly thought I would have this done in a few days... Har!

Daisy: Aw, thanks! I have something special on it just for you. ;) Sorry to keep you waiting!

VioletSky: Oh good! I have till Spring to finish! (I just may need the extra time)

JoJo: I am a firm believer in learning by doing. I love it when I can figure it out. But I drive myself nuts when I can't. There are a few glitches I just have to sort out with more trial and error....

Babs: Aw, thanks. Yes, you will still recognize it. The header will still be there, as well as the main color scheme...

Aw, thanks Toners! I hope to finish real soon!

Drowsey: Ha! You noticed! My hair gets various shades of highlights depending upon how long I get sidetracked when I leave the home coloring on ... that is an older photo really. Now that I wear glasses again, I put that one back up.

Carol: Oh the guilt indeed! I have been working on this damn thing for two weeks now. I am bound and determined to get it working!

Aw thanks Swu: I am beginning to think I am more stupid than brave...

And now I need to go visit my bloggity friends who I have missed terribly.

That sounds like torture...I mean fun! No really, I wish I knew how to do that stuff. Luckily, I'm not totally bored with my blog set up yet. But I don't think I have that many options since I don't know how to do that stuff.

ANYWAY - I've had very little time to blog and I know I haven't been around in forever and a half, but I still tagged you on my blog. Feel free to totally ignore if if you want.
