And This Is Why...

In my NEXT life, I'm coming back as a man.

A typical Saturday afternoon at our house
Or better yet ... a cat.

My husband and I always say we want to come back as cats and be adopted by people like us. It's embarrassing the lengths we will go to ensure their comfort. For example, we'd rather sit on the floor than move them out of their comfy positions on the couch. Clearly, they run this place.

Hmmm...makes me want a nap! :)

Yeah, I want to come back as a cat - in my house! What a life....

Love it! But yeah, it is making me very sleepy. I wonder if my boss would mind if I just crawled under my desk and took a wee bit of a nap.

That is comfort if I've ever seen it.

Ha! I love it. Reminds me of home. I don't think I'd want to be my cat anymore, though. After baby entered we forget to pet her. And feed her. Poor thang.

I love the look of your blog so much! Thanks for visiting mine...thats my 2p for today but I will be back 'cos you have become an instant favorite of mine! xo

Kathy: You sound like us... even though hubby didn't want this kitten (we already had two), now HE'S the one feeding it treats off his plate, he sits on the loveseat if Tawnee is sleeping on the couch in "his spot" rather than moving her, and when he does nap, there she is either on top of or beside him with one paw always touching him. It's hilarious, really.

Em: Me too!

Melinda: Obviously, we are cat people too, with three, but we also have a dog and lots of fish...

Jill: Yeah, it's their usual position now. Good thing he has no idea I took that photo; never mind posting on my blog....

VP: Yeah, she's only 4 months old and probably has doubled in size since we got her two months ago.

Har! Bradley!!! Well, if you did, you sure wouldn't be lonely in THIS house...

Bonnie: Yeah, good thing he has no idea that photo is on the 'net...

Creative-Type Dad: Don't all you guys get tired at the sight of a couch???

Toners: Me too. They rule the place, obviously.

Worker Mommy: Good thing I don't have a couch at work....

Rachel: Especially with the TV on and a cold wind blowing outside.

Burfica: Yeah, the three cats in our house are spoiled rotten (come to think of it, so are hubby and daughter...)

Tammy: Hilarious until he finds out I took the photo, that is... ;)

JP: Ah, we should know, being cat owners, eh? Or should I say they own US?

Stephanie: That's for sure; it's a daily ritual around here too.

Ann(ie): Aw, cats are pretty self-sufficient, unlike dogs.

DJ: Aw, thank you so much! I love your blog too, and have added you to my favs too... will be back to visit soon!

It's not a man/woman thing as much as a breadwinner/homemaker thing. I can never nap in the middle of the day because, as a housewife, I find there's always something that needs to be done. Sigh. A housewife's job is never done.

Frogster: Ain't it the truth.... although I am BOTH a co-breadwinner AND sole-homemaker
;)
